The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is facing delays in securing a new title sponsor for Team India’s home international matches. Despite the August 13 bid deadline passing without a confirmed winner, negotiations are ongoing with companies like Google Gemini, Spinny, and SBI Life. The primary hurdle is BCCI’s increased base price of ₹4.85 crore per match-up from IDFC First Bank’s ₹4.2 crore-alongside strict financial eligibility criteria requiring a ₹100 crore annual turnover.
The BCCI has hit a roadblock in finalizing a title sponsor because no bidder met the financial expectations before the August 13 deadline passed. The main factor driving caution among corporate sponsors is the BCCI increasing the reserve base price to ₹4.85 crore per match. This reflects a 15.5% hike compared to the ₹4.2 crore per match paid by previous rights holder IDFC First Bank. Additionally, the board set strict financial qualification criteria, requiring bidding entities to have an average audited annual turnover or net worth of at least ₹100 crore over the last three financial years.
BCCI Negotiating for Title Sponsor:
To finalize a deal ahead of the upcoming home season in late September, the BCCI entered direct negotiations with several prominent corporate entities. Key brands under consideration include tech giant Google Gemini, pre-owned car platform Spinny, and financial services provider SBI Life.

The new title sponsorship package spans a two-year rights cycle valid until March 31, 2028. It covers approximately 35 home international matches involving Team India—comprising 10 Test matches, 12 ODIs, and 13 T20Is—as well as major domestic tournaments like the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Irani Cup. At the base price, the deal holds an estimated total value of roughly ₹171 crore for the board over two years.
