“Ramba Oorvasi Menaka” Review

on

The fantasy comedy film “Ramba Oorvasi Menaka,” starring comedy star Allari Naresh, has made its theatrical debut across Telugu states. Directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, the film attempts to blend traditional mythology with modern comedy, featuring lead performances by Allari Naresh alongside senior actor VK Naresh and comedian Vennela Kishore.

The story follows Surya, a young man who attempts to unlock an ancient magical book to become a hero. When he accidentally opens the book during a family emergency, three celestial goddesses named Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka appear on Earth, triggering a series of unexpected comic situations and chaotic events.

Allari Naresh delivers a energetic performance in his familiar comedy zone, managing timing well during key sequences. Senior actor VK Naresh provides notable comedic relief when interacting with the celestial nymphs, while Vennela Kishore shines brightly as Lord Indra, offering genuine laughs whenever he appears on screen.

What Are Drawbacks In “Ramba Oorvasi Menaka”?

Film critics point out that the narrative suffers from an outdated, highly predictable script and flat situational humor. While the first half manages moderate entertainment, the second half suffers from weak emotional conflict, missing logic, and slow pacing that drags the overall narrative down.

Is the film worth watching in theaters? Critics have assigned the movie a rating of two point five out of five stars, categorizing it as an average fantasy entertainer. Although the lead actors work hard to elevate the material, the lack of fresh writing renders the film an underwhelming theatrical watch suitable mostly for casual viewers.
