AP CM Chandrababu Naidu announced major relief measures after the 12th PRC approved AP government framework was finalized during high-level meetings. The state approved constituting the 12th Pay Revision Commission while clearing two pending Dearness Allowance instalments effective October 1, 2026. Additional measures include 2022 surrender leave payouts by Sankranti, additional police leave during Dasara, restored senior pension top-ups from January 2027, and monthly health trust funding, costing the exchequer 2,880 crore rupees annually.

The state government approved setting up the 12th Pay Revision Commission alongside releasing two pending Dearness Allowance instalments due from July 2024 and January 2025, scheduled for disbursement starting October 1, 2026. Furthermore, retired workers aged above seventy will receive a ten percent additional quantum of pension from January 2027, while senior pensioners over seventy-five will receive a fifteen percent increase.

How Will AP CM Fund Better Health Benefits?

AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu said pending 2022 surrender leave balances would be credited directly to employee accounts before the upcoming Sankranti festival, alongside an extra surrender leave allocation for police personnel during Dasara. To strengthen the Employees Health Scheme, the administration will make monthly payments to the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, ensuring uninterrupted hospital medical treatment.

State financial experts estimate that fulfilling these employee relief commitments requires an additional annual expenditure of 2,880 crore rupees. AP CM Naidu emphasized that despite tight fiscal liabilities and debt servicing burdens, prioritizing staff welfare remains essential for efficient public service delivery.

The official announcement restores positive industrial relations between public sector staff and state leadership. By establishing binding payout timelines, the government ensures structured administrative governance while addressing critical economic needs across the public workforce.
