Industry announcements confirm that using the Meta Muse AI agent book travel, online shopping, and email management tasks can now occur autonomously across WhatsApp, web browsers, and mobile platforms.
Powered by the advanced Muse Spark AI model, the assistant performs background work continuously rather than merely answering text prompts. Users can instruct the agent to plan long-term travel itineraries, check out flight options, or order grocery items. Muse accesses connected digital accounts or uses an integrated browser to fill out online forms, negotiate reservations, and handle payments using virtual one-time payment cards. When sensitive steps arise, such as final financial transactions or sending external emails, the agent pauses to request explicit user authorization.
What Meta Privacy Protections Safeguard User Data?
Each agent operates inside a dedicated Muse Secure VM, which acts as an isolated virtual desktop containing a private browser, CPU, and encrypted storage. A secondary system-level agent named Sentinel monitors outgoing network requests to prevent unauthorized data leaks. Additionally, personal credentials and credit card numbers remain hidden from the AI agent itself, residing securely within dedicated storage systems. Meta confirmed that conversational data from Secure VM instances will not integrate into advertising targeting systems.
