Vijayawada house pattas will be distributed to 24,057 families by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on September 30, providing full ownership rights to beneficiaries of long-standing NTR-era house sites. The distribution will take place under the Pedalaku Pattabhishekam programme. The regularisation exercise covers around 617 acres, equivalent to 29.86 lakh square yards, across eight Assembly constituencies and 15 mandals in NTR and Krishna districts.
The government estimates the value of the land being regularised at approximately Rs 9,800 crore. Each beneficiary family is expected to receive assets valued at around Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh. Many beneficiaries live in houses constructed on hill areas within Vijayawada’s three city constituencies. Residents in these areas have sought formal recognition and ownership rights for their properties for decades.
Vijayawada Families Set To Receive Ownership Rights
Vijayawada house regularisation will benefit families across eight Assembly constituencies, including East, West, Central, Gannavaram, Jaggayyapeta, Mylavaram, Nandigama and Tiruvuru. NTR district representatives had raised the long-pending issue, prompting action on NTR-era pattas. The programme follows a similar Visakhapatnam initiative, where 28,445 families received regularisation pattas covering land valued at approximately Rs 8,874 crore under the government’s property regularisation drive.
The September 30 programme is expected to provide formal property documents and ownership certainty to thousands of Vijayawada families.By converting long-pending house-site claims into recognised ownership rights, the regularisation programme addresses a property documentation issue affecting families across NTR and Krishna districts and represents another major phase of the Andhra Pradesh government’s ongoing house-site regularisation drive.
