The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous raids across Hyderabad today, expanding its probe into a high-profile disproportionate assets case involving Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences personnel. During the operation, official sleuths recovered 7 lakh rupees in unaccounted cash from the residence of Dhanraj, an institutional barber working at the hospital facility.
The raids stem from an ongoing disproportionate assets case against Dr. Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar, the former Additional Medical Superintendent at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. Earlier investigative proceedings uncovered over 6.13 rupees in unaccounted wealth linked to the official, prompting officers to track financial networks and examine potential proxy accounts operated through hospital staff.
How Did ACB Execute The Simultaneous Raid Operations?
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams raided five separate locations associated with hospital employees and close associates. Officers searched residential premises, confiscating several key land ownership documents, bank transaction records, and financial ledger papers to verify money trails and establish connections to the primary suspect.
Forensic auditors and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials are currently verifying the seized land documents and analyzing banking transactions recovered during the searches. Investigators aim to determine whether hospital staff members knowingly assisted in hiding illegally acquired wealth or served as benami holders for diverted public funds.
