Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) management announced that TTD cancels VIP break darshan dates on October 1 and October 5 to handle the massive surge of pilgrims visiting the holy hill shrine. This administrative decision excludes protocol VIPs and aims to prioritize common devotees who face extended waiting times during the sacred Purattasi month and upcoming holiday periods.
Tirumala currently receives around 80,000 devotees having darshan of Lord Venkateswara every single day. In addition, nearly 30,000 pilgrims arriving daily are accommodated for darshan on the following day, creating heavy congestion in the queue lines and compartments. Temple officials decided to suspend break privileges so common pilgrims can complete their prayers quickly without prolonged delays.
How Will TTD Decision On Recommendation Letters Affect?
Official recommendation letters for VIP break darshan will not be accepted on the days preceding the designated dates, specifically Wednesday, September 30, and Sunday, October 4. TTD authorities issued an official press release appealing to all pilgrims to take note of these scheduling adjustments and extend full cooperation to temple management.
Suspension of privileged access will free up critical time slots in the daily worship schedule, allowing tens of thousands of general queue devotees smooth entry into the sanctum sanctorum. Temple authorities continue to monitor daily footfall figures to ensure safety, food distribution, and efficient queue movement across the Tirumala temple complex.
