Traffic Constable’s Quick Action Saves Man’s Life

on

A quick-thinking traffic police constable averted a potential railway tragedy by rescuing a passenger who lost his balance while attempting to board a moving train in Andhra Pradesh. The harrowing incident took place at the busy Visakhapatnam railway station, where alert security personnel were stationed along the platform to monitor commuter safety during peak operational hours.

The passenger attempted to board an accelerating express train, lost his foothold on the footboard, and began slipping into the gap between the moving coach and the concrete platform edge. Reacting within fractions of a second, the traffic constable dashed forward, grabbed the commuter firmly by his arm, and pulled him onto the platform floor away from the moving wheels.

How Did Senior Officers Honor The Alert Constable?

Station CCTV cameras recorded the entire incident, capturing the constable’s immediate instinct and decisive physical intervention. Senior railway police authorities and state police officials praised the traffic constable for his exceptional alertness, courage, and dedication to public safety. Video footage of the heroic act quickly circulated across social media platforms, drawing widespread praise from citizens nationwide.

Railway Protection Force officials frequently remind passengers to avoid boarding or alighting from moving trains under any circumstances. Authorities emphasize that commuters should arrive early at platforms, allow trains to come to a complete halt before boarding, and respect platform safety lines to eliminate preventable passenger hazards.
