The Greater Hyderabad Region RTC has officially implemented a major price reduction on its elite Pushpak AC bus services operating between key city hubs and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Effective Wednesday, ticket prices across 6 primary routes decreased by up to 40% to make airport transit considerably more affordable for commuters and frequent flyers. Transit officials introduced the revised fare structure to encourage higher public transport adoption and relieve commuter traffic congestion along major airport express corridors.
Passengers traveling on the Miyapur X Road to Gachibowli sector will now pay ₹250, down from the previous fare of ₹350. Similarly, the ticket price for commuters traveling from Lingampally to the airport dropped from ₹350 to ₹200. Fares along the Allwyn X Road route also decreased from ₹350 to ₹200, offering substantial daily savings for IT corridor residents.
Which Routes Saw Maximum Fare Drops In Hyderabad?
The highest reduction of 50% applies to key high-density routes connecting popular technology hubs directly to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. Under the new tariff structure, ticket fares from Kothaguda to the airport fell from ₹300 to ₹150. Furthermore, fares for passengers boarding at Gachibowli and Shilparamam dropped from ₹300 down to ₹150, making public air-conditioned transit half as expensive across these major IT corridors.
Transport authorities anticipate a noticeable shift from high-cost private app-based cabs to the city’s reliable Pushpak AC bus network. By offering premium air-conditioned comfort at a fraction of private ride-hailing rates, the RTC aims to maximize fleet occupancy and provide budget-friendly travel solutions for airport workers, IT professionals, and domestic travelers across Greater Hyderabad.
