Russia Claims Massive Strike On Ukraine Facilities
Russia defence ministry said its forces carried out a massive strike against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities. Moscow said it used high-precision weapons launched from land, sea and air, along with drones. Ukraine’s air force said it intercepted more than 80% of the 46 jet-powered drones launched by Russia. That represented an improvement from recent weeks, when interception rates were reported at roughly 50% to 60%.
Zelenskiy said ballistic missiles remain one of Ukraine’s biggest defence challenges. He reiterated Kyiv’s need for additional US-made Patriot air-defence systems, which can intercept high-speed ballistic missiles. The attacks also disrupted Ukraine’s electricity network. The energy ministry introduced partial emergency power cuts across five regions after strikes damaged infrastructure.Ukraine said its forces responded by striking four targets inside Russia over the previous 24 hours, including two oil facilities and a military training ground.
