The Traitors Telugu is preparing to enter the competitive Telugu reality-show space, raising interest over whether its strategy-driven format can emerge as an alternative to the hugely popular Bigg Boss Telugu.Hosted by Teja Sajja, the Prime Video reality series will premiere on October 15. The show features 20 celebrities from different backgrounds and introduces Telugu viewers to a globally successful format centred on trust, deception, betrayal and psychological strategy.

Unlike conventional reality programmes, The Traitors Telugu divides contestants into two groups. Some participants are secretly selected as Traitors, while the others remain Faithfuls without knowing their rivals’ identities.The Faithfuls must identify and eliminate the hidden Traitors through observation, discussion and strategy. Meanwhile, the Traitors attempt to remain undetected while manipulating alliances and removing competitors from the game.

The Traitors Telugu Brings Fresh Reality Format

The Traitors Telugu brings a distinct format compared with Bigg Boss Telugu, focusing heavily on suspicion, secret identities, strategic deception and psychological gameplay. While both shows place celebrities in high-pressure social environments, The Traitors introduces a different competitive structure. The series also marks Teja Sajja’s debut as a reality-show host, with his growing popularity as a film actor bringing additional attention and visibility to the Telugu adaptation.

The contestant lineup includes Chinmayee Sripada, Harsha Vardhan, Pragathi, Vidyullekha Raman, Vishnu Oi, Shravya Varma, Sweekar Agasthi and several other personalities.Produced by SOL Productions, the Telugu edition consists of 10 episodes. New episodes will arrive every Thursday on Prime Video. The winner is set to receive Rs 1 crore.
