BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T. Harish Rao announced a panel of 10 advocates, led by advocate Kalyan, to assist affected residents in navigating registration hurdles, as highlighted by media.

Addressing property owners at a gathering in Hyderabad, Harish Rao alleged widespread irregularities in adding private properties—including decades-old residences and approved layouts—to the prohibited list. He urged citizens not to sell their lands at distress prices or pay unauthorized commissions to obtain clearance. According to coverage in The Times of India, Harish Rao demanded an immediate CID investigation to establish accountability regarding who authorized the additions and subsequent selective removals from the prohibited registry.

The opposition party has demanded the immediate removal of wrongfully included properties from the Section 22A list and called for the dismissal of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, as detailed by Deccan Chronicle. Citing specific instances such as lands in Budvel, Serilingampally, and 500 houses in Ameenpur’s KSR Colony, the BRS leadership questioned the handling of real estate approvals and state revenue administration.

Former Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy also joined the protest, reassuring property owners that BRS legislators would directly approach district collectors to address their grievances. Harish Rao warned that if the state government fails to take corrective measures promptly, the party will organize a larger public protest toward the Chief Minister’s residence.
