YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy challenged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to order a CBI probe into the alleged 2025 DSC recruitment scam and the 2018 APPSC Group-I examinations. Addressing a press conference in Tadepalli, Jagan accused the ruling coalition of corruption, question paper leaks, and irregularities in sports quota allocations. Demanding Education Minister Nara Lokesh’s resignation, he stated that YSRCP is prepared for scrutiny into the Group-I exams.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday challenged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh to order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities surrounding the Mega DSC 2025 recruitment drive and the 2018 APPSC Group-I examinations.

Addressing a press conference at the party office in Tadepalli, Jagan alleged that the state government severely compromised the integrity of the DSC teacher recruitment process by assigning both question paper preparation and exam administration to a single entity. He claimed that this structure facilitated paper leaks and allowed an outsourcing staff member named Naveen to top the initial merit list.

Jagan further alleged that the candidate’s name was subsequently removed from the second merit list without proper explanation or a call letter for verification.

The former Chief Minister also highlighted potential corruption within the sports quota appointments, asserting that around 372 individuals received positions through government orders without taking the required examinations. He claimed that genuine athletes were overlooked while political favors dictated job distribution, citing viral audio recordings as evidence of job trading.

Defending his previous administration’s handling of the 2018 APPSC Group-I examinations, Jagan asserted that the recruitment was conducted transparently following High Court directives. He noted that his government only conducted the main examinations and interviews using manual evaluation and barcode tracking under continuous CCTV surveillance.

Accusing the ruling TDP-led coalition of using the Group-I controversy to shield Education Minister Nara Lokesh from accountability, Jagan demanded Lokesh’s immediate resignation and reiterated that his party would continue protesting until a full CBI investigation is launched.
