A major aviation tyre burst accident was averted at Bilaspur Airport in Chhattisgarh on Friday when an Alliance Air flight experienced a tyre burst during landing. Flight 9I613, arriving from Delhi with 37 passengers and 4 crew members, suffered a main gear tyre burst on the runway around 11:00 AM. The pilot maintained control, ensuring all 41 occupants exited safely without injuries. The onward flight was cancelled as engineering teams inspected the aircraft.
Alliance Air Flight 9I613, operating from Delhi to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, suffered a tire blowout on its left main landing gear while touching down on the runway at approximately 11:00 AM on Friday. Despite the sudden loss of tire pressure during the high-speed landing roll, the flight crew maintained directional control and brought the regional aircraft to a safe stop on the runway.
Passengers safely rescued after Tyre Burst:
All 41 occupants aboard the aircraft, comprising 37 passengers and four crew members, escaped completely unhurt. Airport emergency services responded immediately to assist the ground crew, safely evacuating all passengers from the aircraft and transporting them to the main terminal building without any reported injuries.

Following the tire failure on the runway, Alliance Air cancelled the immediate return service scheduled from Bilaspur. Engineering teams grounded the aircraft for technical inspections and landing gear replacement while airport officials temporarily cleared the runway. Aviation safety authorities have initiated a standard preliminary investigation into the cause of the tire blowout.
