A joint task force comprising Food Safety Officers, police personnel, and H-FAST officials carried out coordinated inspection drives across 14 dairy manufacturing and retail facilities in the Hyderabad core urban region and surrounding districts.

The inspection teams discovered that several units produced synthetic paneer substitutes using industrial chemicals and vegetable oils rather than pure milk. Investigators also cited severe sanitation lapses, including pest infestations and missing raw milk procurement documentation needed to verify sourcing.
