The first batch of 15 electric ‘Dharmaratham’ buses donated by Reliance Industries’ Anant Ambani has arrived in Tirumala. Ambani pledged 25 EV buses valued at ₹27.5 crore, along with 50 drivers and charging infrastructure, during his visit in June. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will flag off the fleet on September 16 during the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams to boost zero-emission transport for devotees.

The first consignment of 15 electric ‘Dharmaratham’ buses donated by Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani arrived at Tirumala for public operation. The delivery fulfills part of a donation pledged during Ambani’s pilgrimage visit to the Tirumala shrine.

Ambani pledged a total contribution valued at ₹27.5 crore on behalf of Reliance. The package includes 25 electric buses, dedicated charging station infrastructure, and salary support for 50 specialized drivers to manage operational logistics for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

CM Chandrababu to flag Anant Ambani’s Busses:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will formally flag off the new electric bus fleet on September 16, coinciding with the annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams. The zero-emission vehicles will serve as free ‘Dharmaratham’ shuttles for visiting pilgrims across the hill shrine.

The initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion and vehicular emissions across Tirumala. In addition to the 25 buses from Reliance Industries, Bharat Biotech is set to supply 7 electric buses to further expand TTD’s green public transit fleet. Anant Ambani pledged 25 electric buses to TTD, with the first 15 vehicles arriving in the initial phase. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the EV bus fleet on September 16 during the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams.
