Election Commission officials across Andhra Pradesh (AP) will commence an intensive statewide voter verification campaign today involving physical door-to-door inspections. The specialized initiative focuses on identifying unverified voters, rectifying erroneous exclusions, and adding eligible citizens whose names remain omitted from official rolls. Booth Level Officers are visiting homes to physically audit records, ensuring that every genuine resident retains active voter registration status.
Election authorities identified approximately 44.89 lakh voters statewide who were not located at their registered addresses during initial enumeration records. To resolve these discrepancies, Booth Level Officers conduct physical address verifications to verify residential status, confirm active eligibility, and prevent unnecessary voter list deletions.
Can AP Citizens Reapply Online After Name Removal?
Booth Level Officers across AP provide Form-6 on the spot to citizens whose names were mistakenly deleted, facilitating immediate re-registration. During this voter drive, field staff actively identify unregistered residents who recently turned 18 alongside other eligible unregistered citizens. Authorities ensure smooth distribution and collection of registration applications directly at citizens’ doorsteps throughout the state.
Election officials advise citizens to proactively review personal credentials, address details, and family voter entries for typographical errors or missing names. Residents can contact local booth officers or electoral officials to make necessary corrections before the Election Commission publishes Andhra Pradesh’s final voter list on October 16.
