“Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” Telugu Version Issue Resolved

on

The theatrical distribution complications surrounding the dubbed releases of the blockbuster Malayalam romantic comedy “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” have officially ended. Film exhibitors confirm that the “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” Telugu version issue regarding national multiplex screening bans has been resolved amicably.

National theater chains including PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis initially restricted screenings for the Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions due to an abbreviated OTT window agreement. Under strict multiplex guild regulations, theatrical releases must maintain a standard mandatory gap before transitioning to digital streaming platforms. Because the original distribution agreement favored an early digital premiere, major chains refused to assign screens to the dubbed versions, limiting initial shows strictly to single-screen theaters.

How “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” Screening Row Put To Rest?

The film’s producers, Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran, re-negotiated digital agreements to extend the mandatory “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” theatrical window. Satisfied with the revised timeline, national multiplex operators lifted their screening restrictions, opening advance ticket bookings across PVR Inox Pictures screens and leading regional multiplexes.

Directed by Girish AD of “Premalu” fame, “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju has already grossed over two hundred thirty crore rupees globally. Industry analysts note that resolving the multiplex ban provides a massive boost to the Telugu dub, allowing urban audiences full access to the acclaimed family entertainer.

With screen counts increasing rapidly across major Telugu states, the successful resolution enables smooth theatrical operations. Film trade tracking experts anticipate strong weekend footfalls as positive word of mouth drives audiences to multiplexes nationwide.
