BRS Highlights Significance Of Siddipet District Anniversary
BRS attributes Siddipet district’s creation to the administration of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Siddipet was previously part of the erstwhile Medak district, with Sangareddy serving as its headquarters around 150 kilometres away. Residents had sought separate district status for years. The party’s week-long anniversary programmes are intended to highlight its account of the district’s formation and subsequent development.
The anniversary also comes as BRS leaders seek to keep attention on administrative changes undertaken during their decade in government. The party is expected to use the celebrations to discuss Siddipet’s development since the district reorganisation. The programmes will begin six days before the formal anniversary on October 11, giving party workers a full week to organise commemorative activities.
