Three BRS supporters seeking KCR’s return as Telangana Chief Minister completed a five-day padayatra from Manthani to Erravelli and met Bharat Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrashekhar Rao at his residence on today. The three youths, identified as Manthani Bennipal, Boorla Venkatesh and Konda Venkatesh, undertook the march to express their political support for the former Chief Minister. Rao welcomed the supporters, interacted with them and thanked them for their affection and commitment.
According to the youths, Telangana needs KCR’s leadership again to accelerate development and improve opportunities for young people. They said employment and livelihood prospects would improve if the BRS returned to power under his leadership. The supporters also claimed that people they interacted with during the five-day journey expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress government. That assessment represents the participants’ political view and is not an independent measure of public opinion across Telangana.
BRS Grassroots Campaign Puts Spotlight On KCR
BRS supporters are continuing grassroots efforts to rally around K Chandrashekhar Rao after the party lost power in the 2023 Telangana Assembly election. The recent padayatra has renewed attention on KCR’s leadership and the party’s focus on development, employment and livelihoods. The three participants said these issues motivated their journey and expressed their desire to see the former Chief Minister return to power in Telangana.
However, any future return to power would ultimately depend on voters in a State election. The padayatra itself represents an expression of support by the three participants rather than evidence of broader electoral sentiment. The meeting at Erravelli concluded their five-day journey, with the youths reiterating their support for KCR and their hope that the BRS president will again lead Telangana as Chief Minister. Their journey drew attention within BRS circles as supporters continue political outreach across Telangana.
