Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a massive financial initiative offering interest-free loans to boost economic independence for women across the state. Under the new CM Yogi interest free credit scheme, over one crore women associated with local self-help groups will receive collateral-free financial support up to Rs 1 lakh to launch or expand small businesses.
The Uttar Pradesh Mahila Udyami Credit Yojana delivers funds across three distinct tranches directly through banking channels. Beneficiaries receive an initial credit instalment of Rs 20,000 to initiate micro-enterprise operations. Beneficiaries who complete timely repayments become eligible for a second tranche of Rs 30,000, followed by a final tranche of Rs 50,000.
How Will Yogi Deliver Credit To Women?
The Rural Development Department, under Yogi’s government, is collaborating with banking institutions to establish the framework and distribute customized credit cards. The state is integrating these services with the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission to streamline access. Yogi’s government is also introducing digital identification cards with embedded QR technology to simplify transactions, promote e-commerce and strengthen digital payments for women entrepreneurs.
The scheme transforms self-help groups into self-sustaining commercial enterprises, creating long-term self-employment opportunities across regional markets. Providing accessible interest-free capital allows women to establish sustainable livelihoods, driving rural economic development and strengthening financial inclusion statewide.
