Official political reports confirm that Congress leaders visit KCR Erravalli residence today as a delegation of ruling party Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Council travel to inspect land parcels surrounding the farmhouse of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Organized under the leadership of Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi, Congress representatives plan to board transport from the Assembly premises to examine revenue documentation at the Siddipet Collectorate before visiting the site directly.
The planned inspection follows direct instructions from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directing state revenue officials to conduct a detailed investigation into land parcels surrounding the BRS president’s Erravalli property. A specialized team of revenue officials conducted preliminary land surveys across the area on Thursday. However, local farmers questioned the administrative exercise, emphasizing that their families have continuously cultivated those agricultural plots for decades without dispute.
Why Are Congress Leaders Heading To KCR’s Residence?
Congress leaders are planning a visit after political clashes erupted near the farmhouse during earlier demonstrations, resulting in police detentions of senior BRS leaders, including KTR and T. Harish Rao. Opposition representatives accused the state administration of providing police escorts to ruling party leaders while restricting opposition access, alleging political bias. Police have since strengthened security across Siddipet to prevent further confrontations and maintain law and order during political activities.
District revenue officers expect to finalize property boundary records and submit a comprehensive technical land report to the state government following the conclusion of field verification.
