The Telangana state government has directed district authorities to clear all pending GO 59 applications within a month. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced the decision during a media address on Friday, emphasizing the need for faster land regularization. The move is expected to provide relief to thousands of property owners awaiting regularization of plots measuring up to 500 square yards across the state.
Under the new directive, District Collectors must process pending GO 59 applications within a strict 30-day deadline. To ensure effective implementation, the government issued Memo No. 48030 to all District Collectors, outlining instructions for processing applications according to established rules. A high-level committee was formed within 24 hours of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s assurance to monitor progress and ensure timely completion across districts.
Can Telangana Register Properties Listed Under Section 22-A?
Telangana government has also clarified registration guidelines for eligible properties. Plots, houses, and flats with valid approvals from authorities such as GHMC, HMDA, or DTCP can be registered even if they fall under the prohibited Section 22-A land lists. The revised approach aims to address long-standing registration difficulties faced by property owners while ensuring that transactions comply with applicable regulations.
Revenue authorities are also working to resolve broader disputes involving Section 22-A lands through specific government memos related to GO 118 and GO 76. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that seven separate orders have already been issued to address public grievances concerning land. Officials will also examine previous cases involving conveyance deeds to verify records, correct procedural issues, and safeguard legitimate property rights.
Meanwhile, the government is accelerating the processing of Urban Land Ceiling applications that have remained pending for decades. Authorities are also exploring solutions to facilitate the registration of patta lands where NALA conversion procedures have not been completed. These measures are intended to reduce administrative delays, improve transparency in land transactions, and provide faster relief to property owners across Telangana.
