A promotional pre-release celebration for the film Toxic experienced severe crowd management issues on Saturday night at Malla Reddy University in Gundlapochampally, Medchal. The gathering, organized ahead of the film’s theatrical release, drew thousands of attendees, including local students and fans of lead actor Yash.
Details of the Venue Mishap
The disruption unfolded while Toxic hero Yash was speaking to the audience from the main stage. Large numbers of attendees rushed toward the front of the venue to catch a closer view of the actor, causing sudden overcrowding and intense physical pressure near the stage structure.
According to reports from media outlets, the structural equipment at the front could not withstand the crowd’s surge. A heavy speaker box and a nearby floodlight pole collapsed toward the audience area. Multiple attendees sustained minor impact injuries to their limbs, while two individuals suffered severe injuries during the collapse. Emergency medical responders immediately shifted the injured victims by ambulance to a nearby healthcare facility for urgent treatment.
